This week we saw 3 major earnings winners that are all in the Wealthy Investor playbook.
This was a strong quarter for Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). On Tuesday, Jan. 26th the company released their earnings for Q4 2020. AMD posted quarterly revenue of $3.2 billion, up 16% quarter over quarter and up 53% year over year.
Here’s how the AMD story breaks down:
Their Computing and Graphics segment revenue was $1.9 billion, up 18% year-over-year, primarily driven by strong sales of AMD’s Ryzen micro processors.
and
The Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom segment revenue was $1.28 billion, up 176% year-over-year.
Also on Tuesday, Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) released their 2021 Q2 earnings. The tech company reported income of $43 billion, 17% up year over yer and a 12% growth quarter to quarter.
Specifically:
Revenue in Productivity and Business Processes was $13.4 billion, an increase of 13% year over year.
Revenue in their Intelligent Cloud segment was $14.6 billion, an increase of 23% year over year.
Revenue in More Personal Computing was $15.1 billion, an increase of 14% year over year.
Finally, on Wednesday, Jan. 27th, Apple (AAPL) reported its Q1 2021 earnings. The company delivered its largest quarter by revenue of all time at $111.4 billion. This figure is up 21% year over year.
Sales for every product category rose by double-digit percentage points. iPhone revenue was said to be $65.60 billion, up 17% from the same period last year. Apple’s services business, which includes revenue from the App Store, Apple Music and Apple TV, was up 24% year over year to $15.7 billion.
Apple, AMD and Microsoft are clearly the top winning dates in the stock market. It’s your job to decide which one of these companies you wish to trade and which you want to use as long-term investments.
