Fast Money Blog - 12/18/2021

This week we saw the stock market stuck in neutral. Stocks like Apple Inc. (AAPL), Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) and Nike, Inc. (NKE) stayed in a trading range. This is typical for the month of December.

In the Wealthy Investor program when the stock market is range-bound we favor three to four week covered calls.  Remember three to four week covered calls are plump with extrinsic value, therefore your trading income tends to be larger when you sell these call options.

Oddly enough Dow component NKE is reporting their second-quarter earnings tonight, one hour after the closing bell and we’re all waiting to review the results.  It is highly unusual that earnings are reported on a Friday after the closing bell because Wall Street institutions typically like to react to the earnings reports in after hours trading. These second-quarter earnings may impact how we trade NKE shares going forward.  I’ll be sure to let you know on Monday.

Stay safe. Wear a mask. Stay positive.
