This week the bears on Wall Street had their way. Donald Trump’s tariffs and the devaluation of the Turkish lira sent fears through the Wall Street community.
By today's end (Friday, Aug. 17th) we saw a classic "flight to quality" with Dow stocks rising. These included Apple (AAPL) and Visa (V). I expect the "flight to quality" trend to continue over the next seven trading days.
When there is uncertainty in the market, Wall Street institutions buy certain Dow Stocks to protect their portfolios.
I will be explaining the concept of “flight to quality” in the days and weeks ahead.
I’ll be guiding you through this volatile market in the days and week to come.
