This week was all about corporate earnings. Two impressive standouts were T-Mobile (TMUS) and Dow component Visa (V).
In short, T-Mobile picked up 817,000 new subscribers in Q3, bringing its total subscriber base to over 70 million. This rapid subscriber growth is causing top line revenue to increase. TMUS posted revenue of $10.02 billion, a 7.6% rise from this time in the previous fiscal year.
Dow component Visa said it earned $2.14 billion, or 90 cents per share, compared with $1.93 billion, or 79 cents per share, in the same period a year ago- an 11% increase year over year.
Next week, will be a big week for the S&P as over 15% of the index will be reporting Q3 profits.
I’d like to remind you that picking winning stocks is a skill I have acquired over the last twenty years. In this program, over the next six months to a year, I will continue to guide you through the market and introduce you to more winning “dates.”
