As the Federal Reserve gets closer to deciding whether or not to raise interest rates, the stock market has been reacting with extreme volatility.
As you may have noticed, over the last 5 days the following stocks saw extreme moves both up and down:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD)
closed on Monday, December 13th at $133.42
and closed on Friday, December 17th at 137.75
Apple, Inc. (AAPL)
closed on Monday, December 13th at $175.74
and closed on Friday, December 17th at $171.14
Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)
closed on Monday, December 13th at $339.40
and closed on Friday, December 17th at $323.80
Keep in mind that volatility refers to a stock’s price behavior and its highs and lows, not just its upward movement.
The best way to profit from volatility stocks is to sell three to four week out-of-the-money covered calls.
Remember, successful trading is a skill. When you take covered call premiums and buy long-term dividend paying stocks, you are generating monthly income and building long-term wealth.
Stay focused. Stay positive.
